Pair of Antique Dayak Bead Head Bands  – Ceremonial Ornaments from Borneo

A part of the Iban Dayak ceremonial costume, the beads have been woven and attached to a palm leaf base covered with cloth.

Both have significant signs of wear and condition is fragile damaged. In one, the palm leaves are exposed.

Estimated to be from the late 1800s.
